Hex Felicis...
Day Mattar - poet, genderbender & radical faerie.

→ Mar 2013

and it is

as certain as decay or rot,
anything living
or otherwise
does do that,

and Williamsburg Bridge will do that,
will succumb to the fury
of gravity -

I imagine the grip of a titan,
more sure of my own hands, nails chewed
to the skin, and even that

twitch of pain, tang of iron in blood
as too much is taken

          is unreliable -

the illusion of taste and touch
and feeling.
I will return to New York

I will live so much that I can die.
I will return, like everything you can think of
sinks back into earth and water.
